I want to learn from the most up to date source for 3Dsmax. What I'm really looking for is anything that will teach me the tips and tricks I need to survive in the game industry. Also I know this is a site for that but I just want to learn from one source and one workflow right now, once I'm decent enough the tutorials on this site will no doubt be of use :D
I've delved into 3Dsmax many times before but it seems like the knowledge I learn doesn't seem to stick. So I'm hoping to find a step by step book that will teach me how to 3D model the best way, apply textures, setup lighting(really important), and rigging a character for movement and while I do want to learn animation too I figure it's best to take it slow and build up to that.
