View Full Version : 3dmax - how to render SSS,Fallof... etc. render elements?

In 3dmax mental ray has very few render elements, how can i add more elements for rendering?

Or do i have to manually put a fallof material on my object and render the scene to have a fallof element rendered and ready for compositing? The same goes for SSS and other elements i often see in comercials or game cinematic breakdowns.


How do i create those, and other usefull render elements?


PS: my object ID pass has jagged edges (not antialiased) even with filter maps option turned on. How can i fix that?
