Abominable Snowman

Hi everyone! I am entering this challenge and am going to paint along side you guys. I hope to learn a few things along with this challenge. First, I would like to find a better way for me to build quality conceptual sketches that I could build from confidently. Secondly, I would like render my images in a smarter and faster way. Thirdly, I would like to practice glazing with my brush strokes.

I'm not really sure what to do yet. I just started doodling and have this so far. I don't know if a front angle like this is interesting enough. Maybe if I have his head tilted down a little and his eyes looking up towards camera I might be able to pull off something with a little more movement.

As for the face I'm not sure of anything yet. I should make it look more ape like. It looks old though. Lol.

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the comments so far. Everyone's work is coming along nicely so far and there are a few that's really nice already! Makes me very excited to get my painting going too!

Work is pretty easy today! Can't wait to go home and paint! My girlfriend thinks that my abominable snowman is ugly. I guess even Bigfoot has to be handsome. :)

Already! Here is the next one! I tilted his head a bit to add some personality. I'm still not sure about his mouth though. But I'm gonna keep this composition. He is going to be on a mountain top with the cloudy sky in the background. Color is my next step. Still a long ways to go yet. Critics are welcomed and needed!

Okay...here is what I have so far. It's getting so close to deadline and I need more time!!! This first one here is just too strange. I couldn't get the right expression down so I decided on something else. Frustrating. However, I do like the other route I came up with.

The boy looks too much like he is summoning the Bigfoot. I got to do something about that. If it doesn't look apparent enough, the boy is giving the Bigfoot a lolly pop. Something doesn't look right about the spacing of the two characters too. Suggestions would be great! Thanks!
