Hi all, its been a long time since i posted here. Still thinking how i'm gonna detail the back part, mesh topology's messed up a bit. C&C's greatly appreciated, doing it in Maya 2010. I started this in 3dsmax but thought i redo it in maya. Based it mostly on gathered photos, blueprint not much help on details. :shy:

Clay renders would help to try and find pinching and stuff. There is this big triangle at the back and I would like to see it with a Turbosmooth (or whatever the Maya equivalent is) on it.

The model itself looks fine at the moment, but the off-putting thing for me are the wheels.
It would be much better if you modeled the detail. I know it would take a lot longer, but the results would speak for themselves :)

Some test renders, car paint test...hope y'all like it :)
Lighting with 1 directional light, HDRI reflection.
Still practicing with mental ray. Models still WIP, continuously
tweaking some details and maybe model the interior.

C & C's greatly appreciated.

Looking good, nice model. Renders could be much better if you lowered the reflections and set the camera lower, closer to the ground.. If the camera is too high it makes cars look small.

Another test, studio render :smug:

@McFly: Thanks for the tips, yes i agree, lower reflection is better.

Getting there slowly, I think that it's a pretty difficult thing to get reflections right but so far so good, looking forward to seeing some more.

Hey, not a bad job, the body of the car is pretty accurate, except for the nose. You have it pointed out a tiny bit.. making it look a little bit more like an EVO in the front vs the Skyline front... I suppose if that is your preference, then great, its an amazing design.

@ I_AM_DAVE_COX: thanks dave.

Thanks Shadowkath, nope, not my intention, thanks for pointing it out, appreciate it. =)

Here's another update, clayrenders with the corrected nose.
