Hi all,
I am very interested in attending a certified course of 3ds max, as I really want to start from the beginning and start progressing slowly with practice.

My question may be a bit strange, but are there any mandatory prerequisites to enrol in this activity? Do you need to be an extremely creative person, who has great drawing skills already? Or can you start from scratch and develop these qualities through time?

Thanks a lot, your advice will be appreciated.

A solid grounding in traditional art skills will definitely help with your designs, but in terms of using Max all you really need to do is learn how the tools work so that you can create your designs as 3d models. Rather than going on a course I would take a look at the tutorials on this site to see how you get on with the application first. A lot of people here are self taught, and even those who have been on courses have normally had a lot of practice first as you would normally need to show some of your 3d work to be considered for a more formal course (a degree at university for example) as there are a lot of other people who want to do the same thing

Great advice, I will do that. You're right, maybe going straight away to a complex course is not the best approach. I will stick to the tutorials for now.

Thanks again for the quick reply, see you around ;)
