So... I come from speed modeling part of challenges :crazy:

I have no painting or drawing skills, don't like and don't have texturing skills nor sculpting skills, no mate painting skills, and almost never done an serious low poly model :roll:

But this is good opportunity to try, test, improve and learn the above things and that's why I will go with what I know best and trained myself lately.

Short Brief (I will update it in time)

- it will be some type of parody, funny, cute, ironic, etc theme, where something went wrong.
- what went wrong ? maybe the pray to the gods, maybe the building of altar, maybe the sacrifice ritual, maybe the building of the gift to the gods (I will come with an idea later on)
- it will be main part hi poly modeling, cartoon/toys models types and renders. - like in the links from my signature the textures/materials will be funny, colorful and joyful for shaders, textures and renders. (maybe it will be some texturing part for objects that look bad without texture, and who know photo integration etc.)
- I keep thinking at South Park, "A Ladder to Heaven" episode :D, maybe I will do some South Park idea :D

Thank U guys, i'm glad u like the idea. I don't know yet what I will do, but I will model the boys and the I will see. I am not good an making scenes, so I don't know if I will finish this to look decent but at leas I will have some nice object in my portfolio :) and maybe some fun for me and u :)

hulahuga - yes, the face is just an map. I wanted do model the head, but I think is hard to obtain many facial expression for it with modeling, with maps is more easy and
maybe funnyer.

I re watch online some episodes of South Park today and on the main page it was an short clip, and reading the comments I found something so so funnyyyyyyy :D they make fun of a kid from youtube :dance:

In season 9 episode 11, South Park guys made fun of ginger kids call them they have no souls etc...

Grumple - welcome to the forum, this is probably the most beginers friendly computer graphic forum from the web. I improve my modeling and gain the most practice participating in the sped modeling challenges, week by week couples of years ago. Now those challenges are replaced by this challenge, So fell free to join in even if U are just starting 3D because is not about wining but practice, and people will give U advices and U will have a motivation to model.

About my faces, in every diffuse slot of every material U can put an image, then that image is unwrapped around model and aper in renders, so I paint in Photoshop the eyes and mouth and then put that file in the diffuse slot. I can't really paint, but those 2 eyes and an half circle mouth is not so hard to paint. After that I put on a sphere an uvw map, with planar settings, so the 3ds max know how to project the image on the sphere. and that is it.

Fell free to ask me more questions if U did't understood what I saying, or other questions in general :)

Really like it so far, also for cartman i think it should be slightly rounder at the top of his body but not as much as last one, if you get what i mean lol. I have only ever seen one other version on 3d southpark characters and you goes far beyond what they looked like. Cant wait to see what this turns out like.

Also i completely missed most of that last season i kept forgetting to record it and just forgot about it.

These look so so good, I remember years ago there being a website called sweeet with an extra e on purpose that had 3D South Park character in film posters etc. The site has since disappeared from the internet, but this brought it back to my attention. Only these look better than the sweet ones, obviously because lighting and rendering has come on leaps and bounds since that time. I'm loving the progress, I too haven't watched south park for far too long, there was a time when I wouldn't miss it, i will definately check out that site and enjoy them once again :)

So here is what I planing to do :smug:

The ultimate fight between Lego and Southpark :D

After Chef become an pedofile then die he become Darth Vader and pose like a god to Lego people. He train his Lego armies to kidnap the SP kids and bring them to him.
The Lego armies start searching the town to find the boys and find Kenny, he try to run and they kill him. The boys want to revenge and went to find some weapons. Like in the episode "Good Times with Weapons" they lie the weapon sealer that they are orphans and they have no parents to approve the weapons, so they mange to buy some cool stuffs.
They find one Lego soldier lost in the wood and torture him to tell them who send the Lego armies after them. They discover that Chef is now the Lego god so they go to talk to him.

Chef and the Lego armies capture them and want to make sweet love with them but the Demons code forbid Chef to make sweet love with them without allow them to give him an gift for their freedom.
They talk and talk and they challenge Lego armies to an Wrestling match like in the episode "W.T.F", this match is THE GIFT TO THE GODS (Chef)

Now like in Mortal Kombat they must fight to the death in an Ultimate fight Lego Vs Sp. And Chef stay in an throne in front of the stage like Shao Kahn if he enjoy the gift the Children's are free if not...

The scene will be the Wrestling ring, with Lego and SP characters fighting, and Chef watch the match form this throne. It will be an Lego castle in background, and other funny stuff.

The posters with the match are all over the town even in imagination land.

For the studio render where I render my plastic, metals and things that want to be detailed and show nice details like the Lego, like the reflective toys from the "The WIP of joy" in my signature I use the scene created from >>THIS TUTORIAL<< (http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/tutorials/max/studiolighting/index.html). It's a more complex scene with 3 lights. I just Google now this tutorial and post the first link I found on it cause I done my scene long time ago and just merge my models in it and reeder them.

For fast render U just need to not use the so hi values that this tutorial show and some times I delete the upper part of the plane use in this tutorial for reflexion and put an hdri in max environment.

The plastic shader I use for my plastic and toys for every toys just change the color is here:
