View Full Version : Gift to the Gods- House gift to the Gods(previous title)- Argo
Hi, everyone,
This will be my first participation on a competition so i´m very excited about it and looking for getting my hands on my wacom tablet :)
The concept i´ll try to do is not about a ancient devotional gift to the Gods but more a cry of despair about the modern way of life, where a family gives his house to the Gods reclaiming the ground underneath the construction as their most precious possession. It´s just an idea that came to my mind and i just can´t stop thinking about it.
I want to grab my own house and family and use 2d and 3d techniques to acomplish this Goddly task. I hope you all can help developing it. Thanks and good luck to all!!!!
Here´s some concept and inspiring images i grab on the internet:157268Artist: Ben Grasso

Ups, i think i´ve made a mistaque!!!
This idea does not inserts in the spirit of the competition as mentioned in point "6. Image must be fantasy/sci-fi based from any world and of any time period but no references to any current real world religions please, however myths and worship of the past is fine, Greek, Egyptian, Mayan etc".
I´ll remake my concept idea and show it later today.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
Here´s my concept image trying to develop the basic idea but now in a futuristic environment.
I want to catch the feel of a saturated person that wants to change his life and to do so he gives away all his belongings (includind his penthouse :) ), as he begins a new life with a big connection to nature. For this i´m thinking in making some plants growing in the foreground, just to try to give a deeper sense of the feeling.
The walls will fragment in lots of squares and rectangles towards the sky and i think the most difficult thing will be to achieve a gigantic hurrycane stormy kind of mood to the all scene. I´m still thinking how to technically achieve this.. :(
As for the city and the house objects i´m also thinking in doing it in 3d Max, giving attention to small details like the street view in the bottom right corner of the image.
I´m not certain what will be the final look of the sky wheter if it will have the gods looking down of just an opening in the sky. What´s your opinion??
I´want to try 2d and 3d techniques and i´ll be reclaiming your help to get as much learning as i can from this wonderfull experience.
Hope for your opinions about this concept and good luck once more!!!
I´m starting to test my concept in 3dsMax and evaluating my basic forms like walls, floor and buildings and horizon lines. Also started to test camera position and PFlow to achieve the blowned up pieces effect ( the PFSource will be used to several pieces). I also jumped to Photoshop to begin seeing the spherified clouds and the street below. I think it´s getting preety good so far, but it needs alot of work to become a "blowned up Image".
Hi guys,
Here´s some try outs in PFlow. Still alot to do but i´m happy with the result so far.
