Putting my hat in the ring with this one here is a start working on the model here and there will be more.

Ok got to putting a quick rig on her and trying some things out. I will be building a lot more for the scene but this is the start. She will be hoding up a city and there will be terrain and all that stuff.

Making a car for the scene don't know if it really needs it but I thought it would be cool. This will end up being a hover car variation on the car presented here.

OK some progress on the car here working on the general shape. I like cars with these lines American cars from 58-63 had a certain low slug slab with crisp lines on it that i like.

hey thanks glad someone likes it I am at a loss now how to go about it I have two routes to go one go with the original and have the car be part of a bigger scene or have a campy kitsch version with the car being the gift. Since the car will be the most work of any part that makes more sense now but I will go with the original first.

Anyways got a bit more progress on the car on to the interior and then it is up to how detailed I want to go. It will be a cool asset anyways.

Lovely details, really like the front grill section, nice overall shape to the vehicle too.

Thanks for the encouragement I got a bit more progress on it. I made an airborne version will make a car version too for future renders. I did want to go for the early 60's low slug look works for me.

Thanks Evil Lama it did turn out OK. Not ready for a real close up but a good asset for some other shots the car works. I have only done a few cars and they are actually more challenging than one would think.

Chunkymunky thanks i liked the idea i kind of coopted it out of a render I saw which i imagine is inspired by something else. I think i will go with wheels now.

OK first here is a test of what I imagined a final render to be the buildings are assets i built a few years ago. I think one is done by someone else I exchanged for a creature i made wanted to reverse engineer it because i have only made a few buildings before.

Anyways I do not like the concept as much when it was done and have another in mind.

So for the new concept which will not have any buildings and be a bit simpler with a nicer version of the car and the girl. Here is the car with some car paint shaders. This time I am keeping it a bit simpler and making the focus a bit better.

OK taking a different approach. Making a toonish one. Here is my redpanda girl which i made earlier this year and was all rigged and ready and was never used anywhere else. (remember there are matte paintings being made too this is not a modeling comp only)

Anyways this will be a bit more fun and play a bit more to my strengths.

good going!
looks like you are pretty far ahead'
clean modeling too'
can't wait to see how you finish
the piece in the remaining days ahead'

Well I did finish it but I want it to be a bit of a surprise so i will give some more insight on the process. The red panda girl there is fully rigged and has a number of morph targets/blend shapes applied to the face So while it is not a big super Z brush hyper poly model it is expressive and is ready for animation if that was my intent.

I am keeping it simple did not like the complex one I made earlier so I went and it simple to the point and fun.

Sorry but I think using something you already made earlier this year is breaking a rule of the challenge, as this rule says:

2. All work must be completed for this project along, pre-made work not allowed.

Maybe you could continue from the image with the giant woman statue instead?

Use the woman shot. Its better than the panda since it reflects what you learned since the time of the panda. Better be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the insight i wanted to be honest about these things. The girl is also based on a previously made base mesh so she would not qualify either. I did not read the rules I was just figuring that if you can make a Matte painting then you can raid your hard drive for a few previously made assets to make a better image.

If i have time this weekend I will whip something together with the car which is a new asset.

OK new direction I will see if I can get this one through crunch time with a new character. Jet Opossum dude. Quick blocking out of the character and some tuning then a quick rig and render.

OK a means of transport for my opossum dude. a couple turbofans on a harness.

OK everyone my apologies for not commenting on a lot of your works but family life and just trying to get this done now with something at least a bit out of the ordinary. Well this is where I am going the flying opossum hero is delivering the gift which is very similar to a 1960 pontiac to the gods. I still have to make the environment tweak the lights and do a few photoshop final touches to deliver. Good luck everyone.
