Had a few ideas, this is a rough sketch of one of them.
I would want the final to have both the scale needed to show the mountain and the lineup, but also close enough to get some good facial expressions... not sure this is possible? Maybe if i use some camera lens distortion and a down angle from above as they all look up to the clouds.

Yup I prefer the second one too, a gift to Satan (or any demonic God) would be very original and interesting.

Even though the first is hilarious I really think you should go for the dark one :)
