I really like #2 and #3, so maybe blend to two together into one? I like the perspective of #2, but the design of #3

coucou :D welcome to the party!
one or three fo me! (but I prefer the Three!) so one is funny and three is mysterious...

_other concepts:
washka

_two other concepts, now it's over for main ideas:
About those:
-1) Big fat important god guy just relax in levitation, eating gift people coming from the stairs, and he likes that, hmm delicious! This one could be interesting.
-2)Classical priest in front of big madone statue, design, decoration, lightning and atmos work. I'm not a big fan of this one, lack of originality.
-3)The big dark one coming from the mist, will the futuristic city be swallowed by him? Interesting one but seems a bit classical.
-4)In some kind of sacred medieval palace, the hero or priest is offering some precious gift (artifact/weapon...) to the gathering of the gods at their dinner time.
-5/5')Three big monstruosities/abominations are looking into some kind of magic liquid in a cauldron, there is some reflexion into the liquid, the image of a sacrifice. Into another dimension, someone is trying to summon them.
Idea is original, actual colors sucks, but I could lovecrafting this one.
-6)Same kind of concept, some arena into the desert, people gathering in it, around some sacrifice/summon. Weak inspiration there.
-7)No wind, sorry little boy, gods need some gift, no luck but...
I like this one, will be kinda realistic work, don't know...
-8)An army in front of a desert or sea surround some big hot godess, their chief/king/hero is offering a baby to her. Take care milady!
This one could be interesting too.
-9)The cannibal carrot crew (C.C.C.) got some intruder, their Moloch was waiting for this. Mouahahah! Forget this one.

One seems to get a good mood on it, hmm. Already got some nice new ideas for this number 1 concept. Mud, 3D, photos etc...
3,7 and 8 could be quite interesting too, hmm, hard choice guys.
Edragon, chris_solo, Tarik2d, and AndreasOlsen I really appreciate your comments and support, and I'm quite sure I'll retain the number 1 who get the actual majority.
the las one is the best
I know paulius-st... It could have been a great masterpiece!
They can't understand the philosophical inner concept of freedom and liberty of this one but they should be forgiven by our shining tolerance!
The C.C.C. will never perish, even if I have to admit those are vegetables...
I could have also said:
There is always one to said the contrary of the others... (Thanks man!)

so many concepts, so good, I think 1 will do just fine, combine humor with great scene.

I like 1, 6, and 9.
9 is very funny. 1 is more critical and funny at same time. 6 just looks nice.
Good concept work mate.

Thanks Tarik2d, WhiteGuardian, hammering3D, and pables for your choice(s).
Number one has been choosen with majority, I'm on it now.
I'll make some more concept research onto number one then I'll use some secret hidden dark painting technique to enhance the whole thing.
(In fact I don't remember da exact formula...).
More WIP soon:
What do you think about some mix between n°1 and n°3?
And about some big mouth guy? (Now I need to make him looks more happy)

Thanks wargrafix, I'll calm down those colors, they hurt a lill' bit too much.
Whats holding up the blue guy?
I still need to work onto this part...
Some innocent sacrificial gift, it's a god you know and he needs to eat people,
that's how he can keep its powers, but he eats too much and that's why he's so fat..
(Fiction)
I should rework a bit his fat...still not fat enough, reference I'm coming!
Thanks gauravcg, there will be more interesting things, don't worry, secret 3D technique soon when the big work of the painting is finished...

Thanks for comm's WhiteGuardian and NeoGeo, I'm happy you like the funny side.
Didn't knew Bob in the bottle, funny cartoon, the djin idea is quite interesting.
Been quite some time no WIP here, haven't advanced a lot for this one, but now I'm back on it, deadline is soon. :smug:

Merci chris, ça arrive, ça arrive, maintenant je vais un peu me salir les mains :D
Don't know if I should add the balls (Not integrated yet) or not...???
Thanks for comm's
MightyReg
28-03-2010, 07:44 PM
Coming out nice! For the balls I don't know, I think I would let them because without them the scene would be more empty.
washka
28-03-2010, 09:54 PM
Yeah MightyReg this background is kinda empty, it's the sky, so I don't know what to put on it, maybe clouds details :) or birds? Flying machines... Nah, flying machines or not on my theme. A storm? Hurricanes? Hmm... A giant tree? Pfff. Don't know yet, I need to find something interesting to go with my two gods and temple architecture, somes shining towers or something like that.
And yeah I've started my "secret technique", It's starting to get shape, tomorrow I'll try to finish it, mud needs to rest a bit, there is too much water on it:
washka
29-03-2010, 01:59 AM
Atmos and effects, I trashed a bit and it's getting a bit salty and disgusting there, but just eat something and the feeling will go away...
Now I need to focus more onto the right guy, and background, comments are still welcome, in fact they're always welcome.
Seeya!
Guy on the rights shoulders look a bit high, looks like he's shrugging. Only thing that stood out, rest looks all good.
MightyReg

I think lightning in the clouds behind the left guy would fit well.

Thanks for comm's guys, shoulders are highers than normal for posing expression, added little lightning details between the horns, already detailed a bit more the wargod, happy you like the materia.
Couldn't finish my mud details but got enough volume for my last touch then I go WIP.
C&C are still welcomes, especially for colors/lightning corrections, little compo adds and details.

Thanks MightyReg, a friend of me made the comment so I added it because it was a good idea.
Could'nt post my final with mud blending and my wip because time was up, I was thinking it was chicago's hour and that I had more hours left... :''(

Glad you like it hulahuga, thanks, the mud think was done for lightning and texture enhancement onto the final painting, couldn't go details onto my mud thing but maybe for another comp', I also messed up a bit with the foot part but...
WhiteGuardian I've seen a few nice illustration of Dante's hell, I like it, but I've not read the book yet, I want to read It, and I'm sure I'll. Actually it's the "finished" one, deadline is over, there is still some corrections I could fix, lack of details of the background, color work... But now It's over for the moment, maybe in a few month I'll rework on it, don't know. Thanks! Good luck for the judging part with your work, I like the way your painting's telling a story, and I like the shaman frogs.
