Hey everyone! I'm thinking of something with the sky and lots of birds. I'm not sure if I want an up close of characters or far shot of the actions in the sky. I guess I'll see where I take it from here.

A strong start. So far I really like the swirling clouds and the mountain. I'm guessing a temple is going at the top?

I just can't figure out an interesting pose for characters. I'll update in a few days.

wargrafix: I don't think I will have any buildings. Who knows, I might.

Tarik2d- I know! My apologies for that. It's my fault for not paying attention to the time zones in the first place. I'm going to try to make up for it on this one however I'm not very confident in this design yet. I wasn't confident on my design for my last challenge either but it turned out well. I use a cheap Genius tablet.

Thanks everyone and good luck to you!

Here's the next update. Still in sketch mode. I should really start rendering soon with only 3 weeks left.

I don't know why but I was having some pixel aspect ratio issues. When I saved it for web, it would get squished. Maybe it's because I started out with Photoshop wide screen preset. Just made a new canvas and cropped it. Here is the difference.

Thank you everyone for your comments! Here's the next WIP.

I changed the composition to portrait. I hope I can still capture a vast sky with that design. I also started painting my Sky dragon god. In the process, I lost a lot of my cloud definitions but gained a more interesting illustration.

The Sky Dragon looked too small to me so I made it bigger. Now it looks too big but maybe I can trick the size down by painting smaller defined clouds.

"She gives her necklace to Sky to swear allegiance to him."

This last one is the final! All together I have 21 steps to get to this image. Lots of fun! Wish I could have kept the clouds in the foreground but it got too messy but I really like how it turned out.

Thanks Sinistral! I've never painted a dragon before and it was pretty challenging. I watched some komodo dragon clips on youtube for reference but I failed miserably to make it look like a lizard. Looks more like a horse to me.

Thanks Stone! You're a really talented sculpter! Wish I could sculpt my dragon!

Thanks Chris!
