The last one had a lot of replies. So i start this new one.
The rules are simple. D/L the pic and add something funny or modify a little port of it. Do not change the entire image with filters and respect the others work. And please be quick to prevent simultaneous posts.
And this time we could previously to fix a theme for the image.
This one could be "the battle".

I hope I didn't change it to much

Do not add more than one element by person and start with the background. The intention of this threat is to participate the most people possible. So leave space to the rest.

(Sorry about the last one, it was more a question than a reply, maybe I just didn't say so clearly enough?? So sorry, well the answer to my question is clear so I've changed back to the original colours and did just keep the butterfly, not a big problem, it was easier to let it keep it’s colours than I thought :D. I’ll just blame it on that I’m not English-speaking… ;P)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, I ask myself, what is the most logical and natural thing to add, what can keep the theme and at the same time give an extra touch? And what did I come up with? ... A giant butterfly!? …what a complete and total failure!!

Anyway, here it is, the giant, orange stone eating (!?) butterfly.

(Since I’m a beginner I’d like some advice on what to think about next time I add things into a picture, like how to make the added part blend in with the environment, this one has a slightly different “feeling” than the rest of the picture…)

I'll take any help I can get ;), please Tempest811, tell me what I should do.

that's why i didn't use a filter.....but whatever - skip me if it's that big of an imposition unto you....jesus

edit: bjotto did the same thing btw

Please, don't get all upset, the remark was to my first picture that didn’t follow the rules, not to yours. I just deleted my because I was kind of ashamed and to tiered to figure out a better way… sorry for the mess I’ve made...

these threads need a mod to monitor them and delete any posts with too much change.

I can't talk for everyone but I believe that it’s not really necessary, it’s better if you first get a remark so you have an opportunity to change your picture so that it does follow the rules instead of just simply getting pushed to the side. I changed mine the moment I got the remark and I think everybody probably would do the same thing if they felt guilty. But maybe if people tend to be very stubborn :???: a monitor should be there to intervene but only after the “guilty” has gotten a remark and an opportunity to change.

But that is only what I think… :)

I think we could restart this pin-pong from the beginin´ With this rewritten rules:

-Add an only element or modify a little part of the original image per person and per image.
-Respect the others work.
-Start by the background to end with the first shots.
-Big modifications only allowed to change things like the sky or the ground and never apply filters or color corrector to the whole image.
-And to have wit ;)

I agree. I thought this was a great idea, but some posts changed the image SO much it limited what you can do with it. I tried to 'follow' the rules and start with the background by adding smoke, but did I break the rule of "modify a little part of the original image"? I think we need a better definition of "modify a little part".

Also, I think we should be able to grab the image and say, "Tag! It's mine!" and have 30-60 minutes (or however many minutes the moderator decides on) to modify it. If you don't post a modified image within the alloted minutes of your 'tag' post, then it's up for grabs again. It would be very frustrating to work on a modification, just to have someone beat you to the punch and modify the same area as you!!

"To change a little part of the image", for example, is to change one of those chapiters by a pumpkin :D

I’d say it’s most definitely a rat, a very big one though..

By the way, I’m just wondering, how was it with only changing a small part? This one doesn’t look much better to me....

Just wondering...?

it is a lot easier to add an element when the scene has natural lighting and color, the other had so many filters and the colors were saturated and it bacame very ahrd to plave your par tint he image without it standing out too much.

I can't open any of those images. (the ones with the building and david hasselhof) It says there is an unknown jpeg marker or it isn't a valid bitmap file.

doh

when u save it, choose a filetype from the drop-down menu (bmp or gif whichever) and add .bmp or .gif to the end of the title where u name it depending on which u chose

Ivinia

Hehehehe, I just right-click and choose copy, then paste them right into my paint program....then save from there after making changes.

I've got some weird issue with my IE Explorer at the moment - every time I try to 'save as..' on an image, IE keeps defaulting to 'untitled.bmp' with no other format available. :(

RBL
23-06-2003, 03:41 PM
To everione that his IE sux. Try to drag and drop. I allways use it but if it doesn´t works copy the url of the image into an IE new window and try to drag and drop again. If d 'n' d doesn´t work i allways download with D.A.P. to preserve the original file.
Last resort: print screen button + paste in a image editing program.

There is no image protecction 2 me
