Hello
This month I intend to do "Clash of the Titans" theme with Perseus, Andromeda, and many others. I didnt name it "Perseus and Andromeda" on purpose, as I dont intend to follow the classical version of the myth to the letter. I have an idea in my head, though I wonder if it will not be a total fail....

And since there are no classical rules this month, I intend to go in different way than my usual speed modelling :)

And here is the concept. I may put the valkyr there. Or other mythological figures from all over the world. This time I am not being serious and accurate. So dont be surprised :D

Hehe thank you for encouragement :)
It wont be only a week. I have actually progressed a bit into the picture already. I have actually started the day after I scrapped my original idea (a day after rule 6), but this is a terra incognita for me, so I didnt post anything. First I havent been certain I will be able to make it on time, second I havent been certain I will be able to make it at all. So thats why I am starting the thread now. I am sorry for this, but its my real life... flaw. I dont promise anything I have doubt I will be able to deliver :)

I am not doing typical "Japo" characters for this one, which makes it a tad harder for me, but bigger fun. Also I am sure I am not doing it in "conventional" way, as what I see other people doing seems like totally different approach...

So here is update on how far I am at the moment. I would prefer to put it here when its finished... but that would merit a DQ :)

There are still Gods to be made, some additional elements... and of course a lot of colouring :)

Hello :)
here is an update. Except of Hera there are all figures in place, so at the moment I am in colouring phase. Thank you all for the support :D

This is soooo different to all speed challenges I have done here. Only the deadline is as ruthless as before :D
Anyways, here is final, wip sheets and and in the next post hi res. I think that is usual in painting challenges...

Very cool. I like the style, like joe bubblegum or national lampoons movie poster, super sweet!

If you did that on Photoshop, you can reduce the weight of the file by going into File - Save for Web and devices (as a jpeg)

Remember the final image can be 1280px on either axis... resize your image

I have 2 types of picture. One is 1200x1200 to fit in rules. I tried to post high res which is 4000x4000. I dont know if the big one is actually required. I read that in speed painting challenge, but this one is different. I guess the big one is not needed for this round then :)

I used save for web for 1200x1200. When I tried that with my 4000x4000, firewall intercepted message sent by my photoshop to nearby mental hospital. :D (I mean I tried before you wrote that, I am familiar with that function of photoshop. But I did the mistake of tring to save that oversized picture nonetheless)
