this render is a simple test daylight system; that image is small, i need fix the ballīs holes, grass texture and maybe the reflexions.

Pretty neat :).
Think of that grass is often a wee bit wet, so try adding a bit of specularity... ;)

I really like the scene as it is, would like to see a high resolution render though.

Thanks for your comments; i use 3ds max 2010 mental ray and great plugin grassomatic; mr sky mr sun, mental ray proxie and A&D materials. iīm working in high resolution image, maybe...... contains flares and glare, i donīt know yet, i want a simple image.

Higher res would be great and some more specular on the grass, also try, relaxing some of the grass as well.
Overall looks very nice!

i change the grass, the tee and the reflections.. this is the final image 1280 x 720, hope enjoy it.

agreed! otherwise looks awesome! oh and maybe a stamp on the ball like "titleist" "Callaway" "Nike" you get the jist...

Looks great! The text "Simple 1" looks a little like if itīs floating above the surface. Maybe itīs just the perspective, but it does not look like if itīs really following the holes. Apart from that, really nice :)

I agree with you
when you writ on a ball it is never nice and even like that because the surface is round and irregular and you pen will go in the valley much more than the hills
but the lighting and shadowing is great
i have one more suggesting if you can place in few grass blades that look like they have the tips cut or broken off
just a few and jus the tip I would say so you dont have to do them all like that
