I sculpted 3 ideas from one really crappy base mesh (basically i have to retopo it i guess) first choice is the american ladies man, 2nd is the japanese professional or the african badass. im torn between the 3, cool if you guys can help me out, hes gonna to be a rich explorer type who can handle himself especially with a machete :)

man you make it hard to pick the three look really good. I'll go with #1 if your character is younger or #3 if the character is older.

Very good indeed, i think the chin dimple is a little too deep but other than that a real unique character, looking forward to the next stage :)

Nice sculpt, but i think that there are some issues.
First, his torso is way too big from side view. I'm pretty muscular too, but my chin is actually "further" on the side view then my chest. i'm sure, that if you check yourself out from the side view, you will also find, that your character's chest shouldn't be this wide from side. Thats the reason why he looks a bit fat/weird from the front view.
Even if i pull my shoulders back, i can't produce this pose.
So my suggestion is, to "flatten" the chest.
I also think that the butt area is a bit off too, but i can't comment on the problem going on there, because i simply don't see it :D
Keep up the great work!

cheers guys. cordero- thank you for your critique, i have applied it carefully :), i also figured out the problems with the butt area, even tho i dont like staring at men's arses for too long it was necessary to get it right lol.

I've got some question here if its alright.
Why did you model the upper body, when you put a cloth on it?
How did you added the shirt to the body, and how did you delete the body underneath it?
Are the shirt and the body now a separate object?
Do you use zbrush?
I think i'll be doing something similar to this in a couple of days (body sculpting, and clothing afterward) so it would be most helpful if you could answer!
Thanks.

hey cordero, sure ill answer your questions :)
Q: Why did you model the upper body, when you put a cloth on it?
A: it is important especially when it comes to sculpting (of which i use zbrush to answer your other question) to get anatomy close to real as possible so when I sculpt a t-shirt over it it sits better on the body rather than guessing how it should sit, I generally get this is the best way to do from looking at profressionals art alot of the time.
Q:How did you added the shirt to the body, and how did you delete the body underneath it?
A:I added the shirt as a "subtool" if you research this im sure they are websites that can explain this better than I can but basically its a seperate object that becomes a second sculpt within the same scene.Once finished and Ive baked my normals and ao i will delete unnecessary polygons such as ones not visible in the low poly!
hope thats answered your questions!
