got a nasty virus last night, took my computer out. Need to start fresh. Just might use this time to upgrade to windows 7.

Will be a few days before I can update the thread with art.

ToE - What did your 8th grade health ed teacher say about avoiding viruses? "Never surf without protection..." You never know where those porn sites have been, even if you are only doing "research"... This is why you set up a VM and good virus checking, you have to keep your equipment clean and in good working order... :D

Go Get microsoft security essentials. Its free. It protects against viruses. No body knows microsoft windows like microsoft. No need for Norton or Mc Afee. No need to spend money on those who claim to do the same thing and charge. I have microsoft security essentials and I love it. Just a thought.

well I got windows running again, but it just didn't seem right. The updates were not updating, drivers that worked before took the day off. So, decided to Windows 7 it.

Spent the last few days backing up everything and made the change lst night. So far, so good. Now I just need to re-install all my programs and what not.

Went with the 64 bit version, so I thinking I want to try out the 64 bit versions of max and photoshop.

yes, you'll have to the 32-bit versions won't work on 64 win 7... it's been my current problem with my system, I just did something similar.

Whenever my computer has such troubles, I just hit it with a hammer. Seems to work.
