computer crashes FumeFx 1.2 D

Problems with FumeFx 1.2 D, 3D max 2009 sp1

I have 64 bit, 8 GB RAM and Windows 7
When I run the sim my computer crashes. This happends everytime even with the simplest simulation, just a few seconds into the calculation.

I've tried Fumefx on my other computers that are a bit older and then it works, but they have too little RAM for the simulations, I want to do.

Can there be problems with the motherboard, or a hardware problem or something with the memory?

I've tried everything please help me

does it give a blue screen of death or just a sudden shutdown ?

what I meant is that 3ds max crashes when I run simulations, but without any error message..
