Here's my concept for a young girl explorer. Going to start modelling this weekend most likely, and probably come up with some back story as well

Nice concept artwork. My only crit is her Rifle.....it's looks nearly bigger than her! She must be a strong girl to carry a gun that size lol :) Maybe it's deceiving me having it side by side next to her, obviously it would look different when she's carrying it lol :)

Nah it is over-sized for effect to make her appear smaller, so i'll model it that size then if it doesn't look right when its all modeled i can just resize it for a better fit :)

Good and clear concept :D Personaly I'd pull the corner of her eyes (ear side) down a bit. At the moment it's giving her a bit of a cat-like look which in my opinion doesn't really fit her cute look.
Other than that, keep it up :)

Thanks bananaman i'll take another look at the eyes later, for now here's the high poly for the shovelgun done, the rounds wont appear in the final piece was just using them for sizing etc

Wow thats some big ole bullets for that massive revolver/shovel. Might have a hard time shooting with all that dirt in the barrel though lol. Keep up the good work.

That sculpted gun is brilliant, it's a really clever design having it as a shovel/spade. Really nice hard and soft edges all over :)

Great idea!
The weapon model is nicely done so far.
I'm not really sure about the size of the bullets, but it could work.

I hope you finish this time.

Not bad at all but I still think the mouth needs more definition

repeating what chunky said , arms , hand , feet are ok , just try to work more into her face . Try to use more polys on it.
anyway, keep it up, you have alot of work to do :P

You should post your final here in the wip, just saw it at the finals section. Real cool :). Highpoly gun looks really cool :) Would you have to break it to reload?? Doesn't seem like you can do that..

Either way I like your model :D

Yeh I'll post them here as well :)

Halahuga:it does break, the join is at the bottom at the front of the chamber and the release button is the switch at the top

Really nice entry enjoyed watching you create it, best of luck in the comp :)

Aha :)

But the butt is one solid object so that still won't work, unless you open the top "hat" and lay the shots there...

Here's the image of the broken open gun, the chamber hasn't got any holes in it since it was never going to be shown open

Ahaaaah, now I see. Didn't see that little edge before.

Cool, thank you for your patience ;)
