Hello everyone, here´s my first skecth and colour scheme for my tomb raider scene. I hope that it´s not too late to join the competition, but I´ll try in any case. I hope the story behind the scene will be understandable in the final image, if I have time to finish :). I know that now it´s so simple and rough, but I´ll try to add details.
Comments and crits are very welcome. Thank you all.

That green ambient is good looking here, maybe add some torches with green flames to statue hands or columns and reflections on floor

Very dramatic lighting and scene, looking great so far but maye a touch more colour variations to help it along.

the space is to large .
for even more grand sense of size scaling , u could add 2 side pillar statues on either side of the giant one.
the empty space isnt looking much interesting right now.
suggestion for side pillars :
1) demon cats with tails on fire
2) 3 headed lions
3) griffins
4)anubis
5) black unicorns
cheers

Hello everyone! and I´m very thankful about all your suggestions! Thank you very much! I was thinking about the necessity of adding some torches, but I thought about orange color, to complement the scene and make them interact with the environment giving another colors, I don´t know if I´m explaining it well, sorry :hmm:
And about the side statues that aby arty proposes, I only can say... Thank you! I´ll try to make something cool! So, thank you very much for your suggestions and here I bring to you a new design for the temple and tomb, to make it more important.
Thank you all! :)

Hello everyone! sorry for not posting updates, but I´ve been away for a while and I didn´t have time to paint :hmm: Thanks a lot for all your comments and encouragement! There´s a high level in this comp, you all are very good at digital painting! So, here is a new update, almost the temple is done, I added some flames in the bottom of the arches and reflects. Also a golden sword and the crown, as offerings or gifts for the king :haha: I don´t know if i´ll have time to finish, because I´ve a lot to do and little time, hehe. I hope I have time, but maybe the side sculptures won´t be possible
Thanks a lot to everyone!

great.
side sculptures not necessary anymore just put in more architectural details in the temple, like carvings and embellissmnts.
the crown needs more wrk or maybe some jewels.
the temle is gorgeous so put in equal effort inur raider it shuoldnot kill the glamour.
the character should have lots of bottle greens and burnt siennas , the current burgundy color scheme is not matching wth the temple . and enlarge the character a lil as the temple appears too ominous.

Hello again! Today I was painting the rocks on top of the king, and started with the tomb raider to change a little, because I´m getting tired about the green :haha:. I changed a little the concept, but I'm not happy with his colours :grr:, and it is also too plain now. I wait for your comments!

Hey. This is very lich kingey as vnmribaya put it :) Looks like the whole place is made of jade, or whatever it is...it's nice.
Now it's sort of evenly lit, so I thought maybe you could try and give it a specific lighting. Or an overall lighting...I don't really know what to call it. But like...you have those nice flames there and that slice of light on the pedestal, so you could have them be the brightest spots in the picture and then grade it down to even black from there. Of course you might want to leave the statue and the raider semi bright too. It does look kind of nicely luminous now so I don't know if that lighting thing will ruin that...but if that isn't something you insist on saving then you could give it a try :) Maybe this comes a little late too...I notice there isn't much time left. But anyway.

yeah, also like the colors very much :)
and maybe you could paint some smaller statues or a few torch-holder to give the piece a little bit more depth? and don't forget the shadow of the raider

+1 to aby arty
As variant maybe little color correction of cloth to match interrior colors and its be great (some cold or greeny not contrast color)
And maybe add reflections on floor

Hello everyone, thanks a lot for your comments and suggestions. I´d like to have had time to finish this as I wanted, following your advises, but finally I had to simplify a little the scene. Thanks a lot. Here you have my final submission for the contest.
