Thanks mr BlueSummers and chunkymunky.
My concept would be tree house(literally),mushrooms, pipes and metal roofings..
Gonna post some wips later,I'm going through my first 60 minutes now.:haha::haha:

Base mesh, nothing fancy, a couple of cylinders applied with taper, noise and twist modifiers>

Started the mushroom with a cylinder and a geosphere, made copies of it then added noise and twist modifiers once again for variation then rotated each one at different angles.

Ok so my concept is some sort of an abandoned small settlement(mushroom houses) that is built around a tree extractor factory/mine. The tree has been exhausted of its minerals and now this is what's left of it. Instead of putting roots for the tree I thought of making pipes instead.
Took me an additional 30 mins for this so total time for me now stands at 80 mins. Got to pick up the pace to put in more details.CNC's are most welcome, thanks.

Scaled down the tree and made the roof by extruding and beveling faces.

That is seriously awesome. I like it.

That is seriously awesome. I like it.
Thanks for stopping by. I also like the way the extruding and beveling of faces came out. It somehow created an illusion of intricate detailing when in fact all I did was to pop out polys on the right direction, simple technique but effective.

Haha :) Cool style. Tweak the camera settings and it will be ace :) (thinking frigging huge mushrooms...)

45 mins more for this one>
So I'm left with an hour and 15 minutes to wrap things up..Probably gonna use it to add chimneys, windows and a couple of props then scatter them on the scene.
I'm still not sure whether I would do a beauty render but we'll see.

Really nice style and like the centered large mushroom shaped structure as the heart for all the rest :)

Looks a bit like the spore cities :). Real good, also nice to see you tweaked the camera.
Basic materials might be a nice and quick way to complete it...

Scaled down the vented window and made copies for the mushroom houses. The chimneys and light posts are just modified versions of the pipes that I already have. The grass is made via compound object -scatter- distribute object, plane edges. While the crates and barrel containers are just extruded boxes and cylinders.

Ace scene :) Turned out extremely cool with all these little light posts and everything.

Thanks, too bad I had to rush the render to make it before the deadline. Consequently I never get to make a beauty shot of the scene, good thing though this is a speed modeling challenge so its not required to have one.
