View Full Version : Character: Angelic Warrior
Still early in the modeling but though I would just put this up for opinions on what it needs. The count so far is 654 tri's.
I still have the hands, feet, armor and head to add bu I'm shooting for under 4000 tri's so well see how it goes.

looking good so far, although i would seperate the legs a little so that he's got straight legs,
he looks too thin at the base otherwise

TyKeiL - Thank's he's almost 2 and half now, still cute but keeps me from doing that much modeling (when I'm on the PC now he want's me to be looking at Teletubbies or Elmo websites. . . I do most my modeling now after 8p, oh well that's life.)

Nice one mate, can we see it from a side view??
It looks really good, but in my personal opinion, you should put some more weight in the legs, he looks like a ice cream cone... (personal opinion)... but is an exelent model :) good job! you a wire.
Okay quick update, Here is a side view - the polycount (in triangles) is 1678 But I still have the tumbs to do on the hands, then armor and wings to add, hopefull all that will be under 1000 polies more. I'm trying to keep it under 3500 polies.
okay, I'm working on the wings right now. I'm not sure which style to go with. Any advice?

I would go with feathery style wings, sort of like a birds perhapse.... if this is an angelic creature.
Thats a cool poster btw HaoHan ;)

dhin will u put the angel into a game like ut2003 ??
then u should think about the rigging afterwards
thx Thorgrim
For now it's for the CGTalk game art comp. If you click here (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67009) you can see what I've got planned as far as story and concepts go. (Later I do plan on putting it into UT2k3, so the rigging set up I use will be for that, but that will be after the comp.)
Armor and what not. . .count = 2575

looks good but make the wings in a diffrent color they look like hmm dont know ther word in english . stiffy maybe :D
but the rest wow n1
For now they are alittle stiff (is rigid the word you we're looking for maybe?) I think I'm going to have to make them bigger (or at least longer. I'm trying to rig them alittle right now.
About the wings, they aren't actually attached to the body and won't be, I figure the wings will just float behind him with a small space between his back and them. Now I'm off to start on the head.
