Although 3D is just a hobby (I don't go to school for it, only followed some tutorials a few years ago) I do like to model some stuff occasionally when I'm bored or want something else to do instead of video-editing/special effects.
So, because it's summer, the weather is getting better and more sunny, I decided to try to model some Super Soakers. Here are the 3 I modeled:
This is the first model, it kinda sucks compared to the other 2 but it was a good start and had some good learning moments.

The second model already looks a bit better but also has a more simple structure.

This is the third model, which is also the best (imo). It took me about 3 to 4 hours to model.

And here is a version for my girlfriend with a colour scheme she choose (pink and silver)

The topology isn't quite good or optimized on any of the models, but I will post wireframes later today or tomorrow so you guys can see for yourself. Tell me what you think and what can be improved :)
Edit: 3D Studio Max 9 for modeling, V-Ray 1.5 RC3 for rendering, no post-production or textures. The big parts on all models are made out of one object and for most of the geometry I just a cylinder with 12 sides as a starting point :) Also did a lot of chamfering along with turbosmooth for a nice rounded effect on all the edges (instead of hard edges, which you don't see that much on these things).
