Hello everyone,
First of all, I want to congratulate the organization for this inspiring challenge.
here I start my thread with an idea in mind: to make a scene with the Lord of the Rings characters in the style of The Corpse Bride by Tim Burton. I don´t know if the final title would be The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the corpse; The Lord of the Rings. The Return of the corpse, or simply The Lord of the Corpses, :haha:. I think there´s no problem changing the title later.
I don´t know if I´ll do this in 3d or in 2d, or maybe a mix of both; it depends on the scene.
So, good luck to all of you and enjoy this challenge.

nice concept look forward to seeing progress. At first i thought it would be a LOTR with zombies this is much better.

This'll be really interesting to see Frodo in that kind of style :) Best of luck

Hello again, I´ve been crazy doing a quick sketch of Aragorn. I´ve worked less time on this than on Frodo, but I think it´s enough to have a first idea of the character. I wait for your comments. Thanks!

This should be interesting... I love Burton!
Aragorn is great. He really fits into the Corpse Bride look. Gaunt features, bulbous eyes, limp hair ect...
Frodo on the other hand just seems as though he's seen a lot less sunlight then is good for him :) If you wanted to make him plumper, don't forget to add loose hanging flesh lol. Also could just be that his clothing is really bright. Must re-watch the movie, but memory says that it was a lot more muted and mono. Another thought is that maybe you could try making some of the fabric (cape?) more threadbare and less new looking.
I'll be watching to see how you go with this :D

Hey hulahuga, you read my mind, because i was thinking on the scene of the tomb in Moria, as the atmosphere is more similar to The Corpse Bride, hehe. So, there will be Moria! Thank you all for your comments!

Hello again, I´m back after a week without working in this due to a broke arm that I got from an accident with the bike :hmm:, but here I bring the concept for the scene. I would have liked to show something with the colour scheme, but I prefer to post this as it is, so you can advise me on composition and angle. Thanks for all your comments, they´re always welcome. :)

Not looking too badly at the moment, so sorry about your arm, I hope it doesn't stop you from the day to day tasks too much.

Heey hello again! I´m back with new concepts! Thank you all for your encouragement specially about my arm, it goes better, so I hope I can finish this well! Here I bring two concepts for the main character of the scene, the Moria Ogre. I was drawing it fat, as you can see in the first concept, but he didn´t look like Burtonish style, so I liquified him a little (only this is in concept version, hehe, for the final I´ll make him better). I expect your comments about this, which one do you prefer? Thanks a lot in advance!!! Good luck to everyone!
