So as some of you might know, the new DC online trailer had just been released. I'm a character artist at SOE here in san diego, and i mostly do hand painted textures. One of my co-workers said if i put something together, that looks somewhat blur-like, that he'd send it to one of his buddies who works there for a critique....since film/television/cinematics are what i want to get into eventually.
Since this is my first attempt at anything like this, i will need alot of help. It would be greatly appreciated.
As you can tell by the title, i'm going to make a john carter of mars short. But, very very very short. I'm thinking a single shot. Since pixar is making a live action, i thought it would be fun, and get me some attention.
The idea behind the project is to make a single shot short of a desert vista with sci fi looking structures in the back (70's sci fi/frazetta) as the camera pulls back, a 10 foot tall green martian comes into focus. he simply turns, adjusts his staff and does something for the climax. I'm thinking either a yell...or a simple smirk/head raise.
NO MORE WORDS
here is the storyboard i have so far along with a light study and preliminary sculpt i did for practice.
