Hi, now that the nvart competition is over I can post my final renders. I didn't place in the comp but enjoyed entering and learnt a few new things.
All these images were created using Blender 2.49 and Photoshop (original resolution of the images is 2560px x 1600px). There's bit of a wip thread here if anyone is interested

Thanks for looking.

I like the flow of the vehicle, and LOVE the post-processing. I'm not that much of a photoshopper myself. It gives the whole image a comic-feeling.

Hi Robert, thanks for the comments. Yeah the plan was to give it more of an illustrative feel. I rendered out different passes from Blender (toon, ao, line etc) and comped them together in photoshop using different layer styles.

Hey, wazzup!
It reminds me a lot to some of Syd Mead's drawings!! Really nice palette and overall style!

Thanks for the comments guys!
@ DrGonzo - Yeah the competition I created this for was judged by Syd Mead and part of the competition was titled 'in the style of Syd Mead'. That's one of the reasons why I kept bit of an old school feel to it.

am from uganda, i appreciate the imagination, and build but am not happy with the texture. it needed a more fancy shiny texture.

Hi Dave, thanks for the comments.
I'm probably being stupid but what do you mean by the PP? HotWheels are cool, was probably inspired by them somewhere amongst other things. The main inspiration came from the work of Syd Mead, his work was the theme for the competition.
Thanks for looking.

as in photoshopping. Sorry my bad, I have a habit of shortening phrases.
I really like the style! It shows a nice flare to it!

Ha ha ha! Thanks for clearing that up Dave.
I normally do quite a bit of PP as my 3d skills are great, slowly getting better though.
