How would one go about creating an empty loft such that when the shape is extruded along the path, the final result is hollow (like a tube)?
Also, is there an option to make hollow cylinders (i.e. a sealed tube)?
Thanks

This is what Mike-3DT told me when I posted a very similar question except I wanted a helix shape so just use a different path spline.
"Create two circle splines, one inside the other, making sure to uncheck 'create new shape' before creating the second one. Then create a helix spline (making sure create new shape IS checked this time,) that fits around your object, allowing for tube thickness. Now make a loft compound object, choosing the helix as the path & the circles as the shape. It doesn't matter which you choose as long as the helix is the path & the circle is the shape, so if you have the circles selected as the compound object hit Get Path & choose the helix. Otherwise hit get shape & choose the circles. Instant hollow tube."
The cylinder primitive is hollow but I don't know if it will give you the desired results.

That sounds interesting.
Thanks for the suggestion
