This is the first time I import a model to a game. I wan't to make a level. This still a WIP as you can see.
Meaby this could have more polys, but I want to add some chairs and tables, so it's better keep the polycout low.
Here is a screen shot ingame. Sorry for the low quality ;)
looking sweeeeet, but as u said, add something cause it looks empty!!!
good work

Thanks a lot for your comments :D
I'm still working on the next update. I'm having some problems with the materials and creating shaders, but tomorrow I think I'll fix that. To creat this level I'm using 3DsMax 5 for the models, Corel PhotoPaint 10 for the textures and the UT2003 Editor ( )
Gijinka-> To put my models in the game I import them as a static mesh. Just export them as a *ase (with max) and import them in the static mesh browser (in the editor).
Now I go sleep ;)

Dows someone know hoe to use opacity maps in the UT engine? :???: I creat a new shader than I put an alpha map in the opacity, but nothing happens. I was seeing the UT standard textures and they don't use apha maps in the opacity, but a map similar/or even the same as diffuse. Could someone explain this to me? It would be a great help ;)

So here is a new update. Didn't make much, 'cause I spend a lot of time trying to figguer out how soes the opacity maps work.
Meaby i will redo the texture of the building. Corrently it's 1024*1024, but I think I'll do 2048*2048. And maeby the model itself, with more detail.

thats really amazing vitor,
and the good thing with the UT2003 engine is that it can handle loads of polys, so knock yourself out and make what you want with it ;)
are you reading a tutorial for this, like, the collision detection, and texture mapping?
thanks,
Gunblade

Thanks a lot Gunblade. :D And no, I'm not reading a tutorial.
Here is another update. There are lots of mesh problems, but I'll fix them soon. And I'll add more details.

Really awesome. do you know if this can be done with Maya? and how do you go to import the models and textures in there? I'm really interested, I'd apreciate any info you can give me on this. :D

wow, i really would like to get into the mod community, for me there is nothing as exciting as playing a game in a level that you have made...
How much is UT2k3 now?

Thanks a lot for your comments. This projected is stoped for some time, because I'm not likeing much how it is becoming. I should return to it soon.
Daniel- I belive maya can export files to UnrealEd, but don't hve any idea how. ;) Make a search in Google or Altavista, I'm sure you'll find some tutorials. In Max I just export my scene in a ACSII file (*ASE), and import it in the editor.
