View Full Version : another wolverine

As a result of the dominance war practice threads on the realtime section, I couldn't stop making upper bodies.
So I made this image, based on a concept drawn by this dude: (http://nefar007.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d1yxtoe)
I made the models in 3dsmax / zbrush and after that, some photoshopping on the images, and this is the result.
I hope you like it, please leave a reply if you do ;)

Love the styling. Some other renders with different camera position and light would rock.

DaddyDoom: Thanks! I can only show different stages of the photoshop part, or this the final highpoly from zbrush.
edit: it was pretty funny, that an object appeared out of nowhere at the pit of the neck. its a different element in 3dsmax, but its not a different subtool in zbrush, and I just can't delete it.
Anyone has idea whats that supposed to be? :D

Looks very good, but for Wolverine? I'm not too sure. It looks way too calm, almost remorseful which is fairly out of character.

i agree. wolverine, to me, has always been this almost primal force of nature. kinda like the hulk, but more thoughtfull :)
i really like the style you've gone with. you probably could have carried it further, into the hands and face.

walkerism and Tank[NL]: Thanks! You are right. It turned out to be too calm in the end.

I like the hard lines you have got going on, quite stylized, be good to see him in some different poses too

Tarik2d: Thanks! Unfortunately I wont be able to make another shot, but next time I'll make my renders capable of that.
