well i see you have used hight map displacement. i would suggest you to use 3d displacement -> add a displacement map as extrusion map and set extrusion streangth to 0 . or just use normal map - its faster to render and easyer to handle. i dont see any point of displacemet in your model as it is not that complex and your low poly model isnt that much different in shape as your high poly model.
but that is just my opinion. :)

Nice work so far, what is your plan with all this, create a nice picture or an animation???
If its an animation you r going for, I think you should forget about the Disp map and just add a bit more details to your charater add a couple more loops here and their to have the look you want on his belly and then just add a bump map or normal map.

But if your going for a picture only, well hmmm, you could pose the character in Zbrush and just import him in max with a good high res so you dont have to worry about the Disp map again.

I hope that can help I like where you r going with that, hoping to see more soon.

One last thing you might want to improve the eye lid a bit so they dont look like half a sphere.
