Hi everybody... this is my first post here, I'm from Ecuador, I like everything about 3d (modeling, texturing, animation, lightning, rendering). This is a Gibson guitar i'm doing right now, it's just for a personal project, i'd love to have a guitar like this one because the body design is a draw that i made a few years ago.. I hope you like it and I expect your comments about my work...

i used 3d max for all the work, mental ray as renderer..

Your model seems very good but your render lets it down I believe imo. I love that guitar also and I plan to have one some day when I have the money for it.
You should try and make the render + lighting better because at the moment its not doing the model justice. In Mental Ray (I hardly use it so I don't have enough experience in it) you should play with final gather+gi and maybe better lighting. The image could be much better :) (Again model seems pretty good)

I think you should scrap the whole metal grate behind the guitar and actually stick it in a scene with HDRI, etc... Something simple like the guitar standing up against a chair.
