Hello all,

I haven't posted here in a long while, i would very much like to participate in this and actually hope to complete an entry in time. hopefully you will give your honest and helpful critique along the way.

I wasn't sure which way i wanted to go. I know i wanted to go with either deceit, nightmares of dreams as my god of choice. I'm actually still torn but i will go with deceit for now. the cliff notes to my god are as follows:

Goddess of deceit, guile, fraud and deception. I envision a beautiful woman in Trojan military outfit. I'm still trying to figure out a way to make her seem innocent and dangerous at the same time. I want to use gold in her war gear to draw people with the beauty and then unleash her evil (as i said, still to be determined)

So I've rethought the concept of a beautiful girl. I concentrated on the meaning of the word deceit. I still want the sense of beauty and danger mixed together. I also wanted the sense of something awe striking since these are supposed to be gods. ive worked out a side profile. since my drawing skills are lacking at the moment im not sure how much more detailed these things will get. I'll see if i can manage to do a color front view.

Do not use it has a link tag but as an image link tag (not the same).
On top tools, there is a picture button you can use for that (it creates tags).
Else you can type the tags yourself, here is an exemple (do not type the *).

I like the idea of using deceit as an element of your character. It could make for a really interesting image.

I think in order to do that you're going to have to "trick" the viewer. Starting off with beauty is a great idea, and then only when they look in closer do they see the revulsion underneath. In that case I'd suggest avoiding a design where your "deception" is revealed right away, as it would seem to be by doing a half insect/human body.

The half insect/human is a great idea, just be subtle with it and try to link that in with your element of deceit and see how you can deceive the viewer.

Puckducker - I really want to go that way but i think the subtly will be overshadowed by all the other over the top gods. I actually was thinking of a woman dressed like a muslim girl, with the face covered. all u would see is the eyes hiding a demonish/deformed face underneath. Maybe i should stop worrying about other entries and just concentrate on my own.
