Hey everyone. I created a post in which i started off with the challenge. I failed to read the instructions about setting up your post to enter in the competition :( so i decided to do it right this time :)

Please excuse me for any inconvenience caused...

As i stated in my older thread, i will post my concept once again with WIP material :)

My concept...

Ok... so here goes. The concept is very end of the earth stuff.

Atomhawk is the name of a character.

He is an astronaut who witnesses his planet's destruction after becoming the first man in space and the only survivor of Earth

what will he do now?

So now i have finalised my idea... and have started working on the actual model. I am a zbrush fan so naturally got most of my work done out of zbrush :D thankyou Pixologic :D

Hey bro, that's pretty damn good.. if you don't mind me giving you some crits? Wud say that the nose maybe needs tweaking, feels kinda uniform, also brow could be more protruding, it comes out slightly.. Otherwise it's cuul! =)

so finally got the lighting and camera figured out and made a render :)

a bit pleased with the result :D

Hi, i think you need to introduce some bounce light, you want to keep the darks dark but with something to keep the eye interested, to paint in the dark, to keep things barely visible but still there.

Thanks elgama :D yes i will definately do that. this is just what a basic lighting can do. i have to try multiple setups with rim lights and ambients too :) but i appreciate a lot what you had to say about it :) thank you

Hey, it's looking good bro, as Elgama saying, some soft reflected light and rim lighting would spruce up the shadows. Looking forward to seeing more of the suit, you got the helmut quite nice but yip more interesting lighting. Good luck with the modeling, oh btw, is that the guy's expression in the final render? Just curious I guess.. Have a guud-1 =)

thanks a lot Kungfoowiz :D i'll look into the lighting... this is just s test render. i'll stick with the darks probably :D i didnt quite get what you were asking? the final render will be having the same expression

Ok. so just to make things clear... ATOMHAWK is the name of the first man in space. Actually his callsign. After successfully breaking earth's orbit, he experiences engine power fluctuation. When he reels out to fix it, he witnesses the destruction of Earth. a giant creature like entity devours the Earth. This creature absorbs all spectrums of light hence turns up black in appearance. the only thing it cannot absorb is Cosmic radiation which glows like fire or dust as it touches it.
This creature eats up earth and ATOMHAWK witnesses the horror first hand. He tries to escape. Although i have an end to the story... id like to leave you guys making your own ;)

i forgot to mention which font i used....

The font used in the poster is a Windows standard or atleast in my copy of windows 7 :)
