I was gonna do a god of lust but to many perverted ideas came to mind. I thought i might tone it down a little with something more normal. Thing is i am out of ideas on how to bring the title i have to life. Comments will be appreciated.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I still have no idea on what kind of concept to make. i do have one thought tho of making just a normal looking person that has god of enlightenment abilities or just a crazy armored fancy looking god......man i am so stuck right now!!.

God of the electric underwear?
When you say "enlightenment" do you mean 'light" [as in the opposite of dark] or do you mean "knowledge"? If you meant "light" then perhaps you wanted "the god of illumination"?
Anyway, semantics aside, I think you've got an interesting start. I like the head, that's pretty groovy. Maybe you could work something with transparency, where he dissolves into just a mass of tangled "lightning bolts" for his legs or something.
Play with the proportions some, maybe he looks something like the Hulk crossed with a gorilla, or maybe he's really skinny. What if he has giant hands? Or what is his hands aren't even attached but instead consist of pure energy?
I think you've got a good start with the head, armor could make the body more interesting, but I'd like to see you play with proportions some more first, see if you can't make the body more interesting by itself, rather than throwing armor at it.

TO Warlock 279: Yeah i was gonna change the body type to something like the hulk from Marvel vs. Capcom 3 but not make him to buff. And as far as the name i meant it as both hence you know En"lighten"ment lol.

I like your concept so far. IMHO, you may consider keeping the amount of extra detail or armor bit to one or two points of interest so it won't compete with what you have already. miclepickle suggestion might work great since it will be somewhat similar to the head.

Go try find some good reference about god'n stuff, when you start to get some nice inspiration from it, when you start to build your own idea, go for it and develop.

Bah, don't use that Dark Matter character for reference....terrible terrible model, I wouldn't want to be the guy who came up with that idea.
Anyways, I like the lighting idea, I think you just need to expand on what you've initially got. Think beyond just the basic human proportions/layout. Maybe your dude has no legs, maybe he floats on lighting, maybe there is more of a mechanical aspect to him to generate electricity. Try out everything!

Puckducker: LOL....yeah the electricity he got comes from his heart kuz his heart generates it. And the idea is to make his appearance look like the body of Thor but at the same time make armor that fits him perfectly and does not overcrowd his other visual attributes.

I didn't want to do this but i had to post a close up for ya. And yes...there are balls on him. :) as far as the wrist work...i'm still working on that as well as other detailing for the body before i move forward to armor.

That's some shinny armor he's got on. The boots seem a bit too large and over armored compared to the rest of the character though, but I don't know what else you plan to add.

One crit, something's not quite right with the chest. Seems like the pecs are sunken into the rib cage rather than sitting on top, also looks like the rib cage is too wide, might be worth taking a look at that.
I like where you're heading with the armor and clothing so far.

looks good, but there are 3 things that bugs my eye.
1 - the rope. it looks more like this http://riverflowhomeopathy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/anatomyGI.jpg than like a rope. the main problem is that the pattern is not complete and only a pair of bumps that go all over the "rope"\
2 -3dt logo doesnt integrate it to whole desing . i would look better imo if it was some kind of a medalion or other acsesorie.
3- where did his "manly weapon" go? did a drunk rabbi miss when doing circumcision ? :D

Been doing searches on google.com to look at rope pictures and i found a few that looks good enough for me to get good angles of it for me to model. The 3dt logo i want it as an implant (sort of) to his heart. The idea is to have it as a conductor to help amplify the electricity that his body/heart and blood produces.
And as far as his "Manly Weapon"....it's still there hidden under his clothing, waiting to secretly disable all of the female warriors in the Dominance War that tries to buck up against him :)

for my taste it lacks some more detailing and acsesories, but i must agrea it looks good allready. i like its face very much - it has personalitie and its calm Michael Jai White and wesley snipes expresion :) .
hows about hermie's(mercurie greek/roman mythology) shoes?

cape? nope, leave it for superheroe's. as for details i think more elements and parts would look better(dont want to sound like a dushe or a55 but my model has more details only on his jaw than your whole model). after all its a next gen character and you have lots of polys to play with. so some scars, pattern on the dress, some ornaments on armor peaces, some more armor peaces, some more acesories like weapon or scepter, rocket lounchers, some slave creatures like thunder gargoyls or something like that, and so on..... you have only about 4-5 elements on your model . and to be honest and fair - the model isnt the most original or very unique in design and his acesories ar very poor of detail so something that would catch an eye from the first look would be usefull for it. for example - when you didnt hide his enormous penis everyone spoted it from a first look and this made it original in its own way. then only one thought came to mind - "this dude has some balls of steel to do this" :) .
hope its helpfull. and if my words sounded harsh or unpleasent here is something inspiring from kekai kotaki to ilustrate my idea about slave gargoyles.
good luck on this and i'll ceep an eye for more updates :)

Armor wise, I think he looks about right for a god.
He could use a whompin' stick of some sort tho. Some kind of elegant/clean/simple staff I think would work.

Ya, glow might play out better than electric wings, they'd be a bit tough to pull off, and could really go awry.
As far as whompin' sticks, I think was thing some classical, something simple design wise. You've kept your model pretty clean so far, so it doesn't make sense to have an insanely complex staff. Maybe something with some levitating rings, maybe a coil of some sort, maybe something like Poseidon's trident, but missing a prong, so that it arcs like a stun gun? Something along those lines.

Like the shield, but I think center details are a bit too "blury cellular", if you see what I mean? Maybe some more cleaning refinement there could help.
Also like new wings, you could make 2 rows of feathers => ref.

what's your tri count. Hopefully you have some to play with. Right now the lightining on the body, doesn't look like lightining on the body. But if you have the lightining floating over the body, it should look better, read better. Instead of just body paint.

Agree with Toe, the lighting could use some extra love'n. It's looking pretty good without the lightning, but the way you have it wrapping around the body, how it follows muscle contours perfectly, it doesn't sit or read well enough.
Still time to get it perfect, you're almost there with it. It's looking pretty good otherwise.

BiG ToE-3DT: Tri count is 9,807 polys. As far as the lightning on the body....i have it going thru a luminosity channel (which helps it to light up on the body but does not help it to glow so it would look like lightning.) i have been sitting here trying to figure out how to make it glow.

first, I'll use two maps for the lightening and I'use transparence ( 20-30% one, 60 the second for examples)
and I'll edit the light map (color ambient) and/or reflect
and I render in order to learn what effect work

ok....i have one alpha map i am using in the luminosity channel which is brightened to 100. thing is i don't know how to make it glow so the texture can look right. i will try what you said about using color ambient to light up the map and see if it works.

it will never look right, if you keep it in the skin. It needs to be above the skin. You have plenty of tris leftover, you can make it work.

You shouldn't have it follow the contours of the muscles. That is what is making it look a lot more like purposefully design painted on lines, rather than energetic, dynamic lightning.
And like ToE suggested, try getting it up and above the skin too.

Just tried what you said about making it above the the skin. thing is when i do it, it makes the tri count go way over the poly limit so i guess that's out of the question.

you shouldn't need more than 1,000 tris to pull it off. 1,500 at the most.

You know, with the lightning, if you varied the thickness of the branches it might look better. Also, if you added a small tinge of colour to it, it might be more appealing.

You can make the head a little smaller and it will make the character bigger and more powerful . With all the hair the head looks bigger and makes it smaller proportionally . I think you can do this minor changes even in this stage . Good effort so far . Keep it up :) .

I'm assuming that the skeleton you have on the ground is the same skeleton character you did for the last dominance war. I don't know if you'll be able to use that, the rules say you can't use anything pre-made for your entries.
It's not a big deal but I wouldn't want to see your entry disqualified for such a little thing, if that were the case.

I just noticed that you don't have the 3dtotal logo on the character, or I didn't see it. Did you place it anywhere hidden? I don't see it, I might be blind. I think rules are you need the logo on the model or use the color scheme on the character. Good thing your done your pretty much done, maybe you can add in the logo in to your character.

yeah, he's got it on the bottom of the sternum, although it is a little difficult to see with the lightning there...it's easier to see it on the presentation shot

I really like the sword but I think it's a bit too big for the reverse grip like that. That's better for a short/skinny weapon. He could crouch down a little more too, to give him a little more intensity. And those light streaks go through his hands and feet, but why do they stop at his beard?
