Dominance War V - 3D - God of Gaia - McKronic

The name of my god is Equatarius the god of gaia. He is older then the planet itself and has been through many war's. I am looking to achieve that war torn look, and make him come off as old and wise. I'm playing with the idea of him carrying around little egg's containing embryo's which he seeds the planet with. He is several miles long and he glides over the surface of the planet.

I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on my concept so I'm a little behind but I do feel like I'm heading in the right direction so hopefully I can make up time in the later phases. Still working out a lot of the details, I'm having trouble deciding what to do with the back, I'm thinking of putting some kind of shell or armor.

Cool idea, I like it. Sounds like your going for the real "giant" type character, just like I'm trying to do. I think the key for that is going to be providing lots of great miniature detail to really help sell the scale of your character.

Actually, although I think that a God may reproduce it's specie in the way they want to. I see this one more like a creature, maybe a God creation but not the God itself. Although I pretty like the design, a God must be not only epic but also divine in my opinion.

On the other hand, the idea of the God showing old battle signs is inspiring ;).

I don't know how deep will the people dig into the background or how much weight sticking on the God Topic will have in the voting anyways. If the model works, that's all we need!

Puckducker - yah I am definitely going for a really large creature, I think a lot of the scale will also come from the pedestal I'm thinking of doing a battlefield possibly in a canyon type setting to really show his size. I believe thats allowed is it not?

wil_himura - I agree with you about the whole egg thing. It's not something I'm really attached to. I'm just trying to find some kind of really unique element. When it comes to voting I think initially they will choose the coolest looking concepts to consider for the winning entries but they will then see which ones fit the criteria appropriately. I can't see anyone getting in the top 10 if their entry doesn't look like it could be a god.
