Hello, guys,
it took me a lot of time to come up with an idea for this animation contest and now I am ready to realise what I have in mind. I am not entirely sure if the plot follows all the rules of DW5. I want my God to be infinite, but I wonder if I can make him copying himself (endlessly)

Good luck with your entry man, your last animation one for the warming was amazing.
Copy layers could be a solution?
=> Different scene tracks/ render with alpha/ then superpose compile in same serie.

Well if it is the same god then sure, then it is just a trick of mind and or nature... The problem would be if they are twins and such because that is stated explicitly in the rules...
Let's see some wips man!

Nice one!
Didn't you do something similar in that b and w style in your warm up entry? Great that you continue in the same fashion!

Thanks! So, you think I am not breaking any rules here.
I did not do a silhouette video in a warm-up - it was Bigtoe, I did shooting and smoking general.

yeah, that was me. Don't get Him confused with me. That's not fair to Vlad.

Oh that's right (sry both of you :))
Regarding the rules I can only say what I think and regarding rules they are all in reality subject to the whim of the judge...
I think you should read through the rules again and find out what they exactly say as well as what they mean (in two different examinations)

Looks great, like Washka mentioned it's already feeling pretty dynamic.
Not quite following the story too much, but overall feels good.

Sorry for delayed reply. I have been working on a video non-stop for the last few days since the deadline is very near and I am still not happy with the result. I really wanted to make a post with a video today, but I still have not put it together.
Thank you for warm words.

Here is a new WIP. Still needs a lot of work before render. This time the video has no sound due to alterations.

I really like the 2D opener. It reminds of the the old nintendo game, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zelda_II:_The_Adventure_of_Link) There's a part where you have to battle your shadow, and there's some flashy lights like that.

Finally, it is finished. I managed to render it just on time with the resolution 720p, which seems to be too small, but there is no time and render takes forever, so I have no choice but to post it as it is.
Good luck to all the participants!

Great job Vlad, I think the silhouetted opening turned out fantastic. Really strong animation that reads well and has some good punch to it.
Good luck on the voting and congratulations on finishing!

Thanks for praising my animation, guys.
I just realised that the logo in a video does not read well. I have a big screen on my working computer and watching the video on a laptop is very different from it.

Thank you, guys, for the attention and support of my entry during its making. I have enjoyed posting my wips here and waiting and reading the comments, an experience I never had before, since I used to rely on the opinion of my friends and colleagues only.
I am glad that Fred managed to conclude the competition before the end of the year.
Hopefully something good comes out of this for me. )

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you picked up a 1st place and a 3rd place in one Dominance War..?
That's a huge accomplishment. Very glad to see that your cigar smoker anim got first in the mini challenge. I loved that one. Big congratulations to you!
Merry Xmas.

Believe it or not, but I have not noticed the results of the mini challenge. Thanks for pointing out! I am super-extatic now.
I know the video with the general is nice and clear, I wished I listened to fellow participants about the second video - it was confisuing. I was hoping that the name Uroboros, God of Eternal Return explains the idea, but obviously it was not enough.
Anyways, I am happy, and this is something I am proud to shout about. ) Another little gold medal for 3D Total.
