I started late so I have to run...
For first I started drawing some sketches...

My god need a mount so I made some study...

I chose a god with the head of a lion and the body of a feline humanized. At first I wanted an heavy mount (like a giant monster) then I thought to use a classic horse but with magic power like the fly like a tornado. I use photoshop and my graphic pen for the pose study.

Hey, glad you were able to get something done in such a short time. There is still just over a week to go in the comp so you can probably use that time to keep working on your entry. I actually think the composition you had going in your WIP sketch.
