xboxthug13b usually i use polymodeling. Before doing any polis, i draw the car`s main details. Then i work with only splines.

Ive got a question. How do you make the line where the various car panels join eg the bonnett and the rest of the car. I can never figure out how its done and really need to know. thanks!

LOL TigerDog

I have tried to get an answer for this question many times on this forum - but I still haven't found a way to do it....

.....but maybe if we all ask politely they will tell us :)

all you do is extrude the outer edges back, then select the front and corner edges, chamfer [i do mine at .045 with meshsmooth of 3]

if you are confused by my explanation, go to http://www.3dtotal.com and put your mouse over free stuff, click "Tutorials".... then scroll down the tutorials page and click "Fiat 500 Tutorial by Karabo" and it explains it pretty well :)

19-07-2003, 01:09 AM
Hi everybody!!
ok i`ll tru to explane how i do it=))but im not sure i can%))
For exmaple i need to create the door. I select polys of a door and detach them(pic1). Then i copy edges insde in order to make some fillet in and encrease space beetwen different parts of a car(pic2).Then i do the same with the door(pic3) After all we`ve got nice lines.=)) i hope this expanation helps!=)

alexis
29-07-2003, 03:16 PM
no karabo i dont
we just started this team me and my friend we are not pros but we can model and we get better and better so right now we are workin on a site for a team and gettin people in so then when we are ready we will give whole team a test to model something and who ever does a good job they are in they will have a dead line
so the whole point of this team will be to make 3d art for games animations and such its gonna be high poly modeling to make the most realistic stuff like cars and such,by helping others and others helping us we will get alot better so will the rest of the team because not everyone knows same stuff everyone has their metheds and such so we will be sharing them
did that answer ur question?

mms
