I've just finished this model of a UZI sub machine gun. The model was made for a Half-Life 2 mod that I'm working on. The gun is about 2200 polygons and the hand 450.
C&C are more then welcome
Our mod is still looking for some talented (character) modellers, skinners, animators, etc... If you're interested, visit our website here (http://www.cama-killer.tk)

That looks great it really does butaaa...2200 polys for a GUN? I don't know the limitations recomended for HL2 but that REALLY sounds like way too much.

The Source engine (which HL 2 is build upon) recommends around 2000 polygons for a weapon.
Once we bring this weapon ingame, alot of the hidden polygons on the back will be deleted and the number will be reduced by about 35 %.

I agree with about the ears. I would try to make it all one mesh.
