doesn't matter if I had photo reference or not.
if you can't paint or draw from a model then use a photo.
you still learn

Ah dont' mind him Morgoth, he's always harsh with his crits, and blunt. I think it's cool, nice expression. And you are right you learn a lot from painting photo reference. I dare say you'd have a hard time convincing Angelina Jolie to come and sit for you. :)

Very pretty painting. Alas I do agree with RBL she doesent look to close to Angelina. Some expressions aren't well..Ok I do admit that I haven't seen a picture of her in that expression u did her in so I don't know how she looks like in that particular face state but some details aren't just right. I cannot put my finger on it tho. ou have great skill tho. It's a great face painting :D! And u actually met her....christ I ENVY YOU!

Well I'd say u got her prettywell according to the photo. Some details aren't dead on like her right eye but overall it's very nice. And as I sad befor it's a very nice paintiong...u iz skillfulz :D!
