Hi everybody,
I will try to make a realistic render of Kermit the frog, modeling in 3dsmax,
and then render in maya. I really love this character, and I wanted to try some fur works.
See you!!!

Hi there!
Here The first render that I did with Maya and MentalRay.
I model the buddha just for that occassion.
The mesh was done on zbrush and the rest was done on maya (light, Bokeh, DOF,...).
I just adjust the color, put some dust,... on photoshop.
I'm looking for a tutorial to learn how to make a shader like jade stone,
in maya and mentalray, All help are welcome .
Thank you very much!!!

Kermit looks like Kermit and the Buddha render have a nice chromatic aberation effect so good work there. The SSS render is a little weak by comparison but keep at it

Hi there!!!
Thanks Perversonality for your comment! I'm agree with you
about the SSS test ;)
Here a new personal project, My goal with this project is to

Very good start Lucas.

I really like how you'va approached the form of the head. The outcome is pretty good so far.
Now I'm looking forward to seeing the ears :)

Alllright... the modeling is cool. Now show us some awesome texturing ;)
Btw. what about telling a little story if you aim for a still rendering... something that is typically Muppet-like like Kermit singing for Miss Piggy maybe with a funny twist. :)

Hi everybody!!!
Hey Kogen, thanks man!
For the pose I was thinking about this one (Classic) :
Kermit banjo!!! (http://www.luniveretcie.com/produit/zoom/Kermit_Guitare-MUPPETS_SHOW-1236381453.jpg) What do you think?
Perhaps something more fun as you propose, I will think about that!!!

For the girl's portrait I work the ears. I will work the back of the ear when
I will do the retopology of the model (my model have 5 millions polys,
and itīs the limit for my computer and the next step will be 20 millions )
I try to name the anatomy part of the ear base on some research on internet.
Its a training to learn the names so complicated!!!
C & C are welcome!
Cheers

Alltright,

I see where you wanna go with Kermit. The pose is pretty classic yeah, so I guess you should finish it and stay as close as possible to the reference.

Ahhhh it's a girl. Allright now I'm able to give some critics. IMO her jawbone (needs to be lifted) cause the whole jaw looks very big this results in another problem the chin which is also pretty huge.
I think you can also tweak the eyes (more allmond shaped) they are probably also a bit too big. I also think that the eyes should also be moved more into their sockets. The lips could be also a bit more accentuated as the lips of a girl / woman... of an attractive woman are normally full. I guess for a girl... her neck is pretty massive. Might be an idea to have a look if it looks more female if you make it a bit more slender.
The ear is great. I really appreciate your enthusiasm of learning all those parts.

-k.

You should lower a bit the eyes, there are a pinch upside the middle.
Neck's too long. Accentuate trapezius. Clavicle aren't straight. Clean bottom part of the ears.

This sss shader something image is interesting, good wallpaper thou :)
...and the head...back view..ears look strange in my opinion, but on the good side it's better than i could model it (for now) :lame:
