I like the blue. The color with the reflections on this picture, really nice draw.

I think the green one is the most easily 'readable' in terms of form and shape but I do think that all of them are a little too saturated & should be brought down some. Maybe mix & match colour schemes - either opposing or complimentary. Elements of the blue & green would work well together for example.
I totally love the design - I think that's one of the best mermaid designs I've ever seen in fact & I hope you add more skin detail (scales, blemishes, camoflage patterns etc,) to really finish it off. I think if you do, you'll have an amazing piece.

That is cool. Very nice. I like the orange one but the red one had some cool blood colors around the head and the tube thing.

i like the last one that you posted
but maybe the color has something to do with how they survive? if they need to be camoflaged/hidden, i would go with the blue shades; if they arent in any danger of attack or discovery, then the orange seems nicer
...maybe im going too far into this... :???:

The orange would fit in with the kept to hide. The deeper you go the harder it is to see colors so sometimes they are really bright but that spectrum of light can not penitrate so they look bland and blend in better. Depending on the enviroment you put her in would tell what colors to make her. Any Ideas? Even though you would thin greens and blues would blend, the only water creatures I know of that are that color are sharks and whales. Basicaly animals that do not hide.

hrm... thats interesting
how about a really deep sea version where it is semi transparent or has glowing parts like an angler fish? might be more interesting than having colors :dunno:

Add some more colours on the leg and arm fins, to keep it in the mood - lines like on the head. :)

But I prefer the earlier versions.
