seen it done a million times, and this is far from the best... looks like you used te smudge tool alot...

it has some elements that could work, but mostly it just looks like perhaps two textured globes rendered in max or bryce that then have been smudged around a bit...

my two cents.. but try to make another one, and then another one, and i bet that the third one will take half the time of the two first, yet look much better...
