Another one :)

how did you make it?

UHm procuceul textures from blur.com electric, dynoskin.
and mix them toghter with fallow, and copy them in diffuse, opacity and things like that, just trail and error :)

I think its pretty good if you ask me... Render time was abouy 20 min :)... rendered with elight

Oh men !!! this thread is absolutely cool.
I was playing around a lot with sub surface scattering in MR but parti volume photon shader is an absolut killer... I need something more fast for render...
I'll post some shaders here... I'll be working on them...
:D one for starting...

another shader... (just my try...)
Translucence falloff and diffuse falloff

and here playing around with a single omni...
I don' know how to solve shadows...
is there any way to simulate caustics with scanline?
Does Mental Ray (MAX6) support translucence shader for caustics effects?
...I would like to simulate WAX with scanline or Mental Ray...

Do not understand why this happens?
You set up a material and use UVW Mapping to get it just right and then you render and it is completely different ?

Wow this is an old thread, and interesting too, I think I'm going to experiment with this, I don't know much of texturing, just the plain things.
