View Full Version : The Sketches Thread!
Post your sketches! Like the "in class" thread but ths one for all kind of stuff. But iīd glad to see your non 3D work of your final completed 2D/3D creations. And share views of focus and plan a bigger work. Or simply to show your doodle ;)
Cīmon!
My first one. This is a quick and dirty sketch of one of my cahars. Itīs done firstly with black felt-tip pen like a comic inking. Second layer of black gouache for grays. And the last one and my favorite one the white acrylic layer for highlights and shines. I preffer the white acrylic cos it covers better than gouache and it dissolves easily with water and has a quick dry.
For the next perhaps take snapshots of the steps....
so let me get this straight. This is the INCLASS thread but the sketches don't have to be done in class anymore?

I think the administrator should make a special thread for this because it's so popular:)
The "in class" thread is pretty different than this one.

good idea RBL.
Just for you that dont get it. This thread is for more planned drawings and skechtes. The "inclass" is for pictures you draw in school or when you talk to someone in the phone =)
RBL, correct me if im wrong, but i think i got it right =)

I found an old sketch i did about *thinks* .... 6 years ago, or about that anyway. I never got round to finishing it. The actual image is from a graphic novel and this guy is actually on a horse. The part i completed is already A-3 size, so you can imagine how big the whole thing would be if i drew his horse too :D
I donīt understand some parts of the musculature.
This is an animated sketch more or less. Itīs a test.

RBL you got quite a funky style that is at times completly friggin cool and at other times kinda makes me think it could have been so much better...anywho, on this last animated thing, i think youve nailed it, although the animation itself im not too hot on, i really like the character
evil_radish i know what r u sayin' but the style (toon) of stuff like that character (DJ_RO) is easier to achieve. In the relistic comic-book style I fail more cuz is more dificult. Human anatomy is one of the hardest aspects of comic drawing as human expressions.
But i like jump btween differents styles, not only in 2D of 3D, I rummage loops in acid and rebith :D but i donīt know anything of musik, only some software...
Ya RBL that style of yours rocks. The animation looks pretty good. Not to smooth, but thats because it only has 3 frames right?
One more sketch done with the leftover black ink from Gore Grrl blood and a black felt-tip pen. Titled:
"One survivor lost battle"
Hey, You can post your skecher here too!!
This one was done @ work when spybot S&D was doing his work ;)
