I was wondering if anyone can help me with creating z-depth in reflection.

I am using Vray 2.30

I mostly use VrayMtl, however, it's the Vray Car Paint that's giving most of the reflection. I am adding fog to my scene in Post and I noticed that I'll need to add some sort of depth to the reflections because they are too crisp. I have many close ups of the reflective materials so it'd be ideal to see some detail in the reflection but not the parts of the reflection that are distant.

I read that a falloff map can be placed in Reflection. I've tried this and it didn't work for me. I added a falloff map to the Base Reflection slot in VrayCarPaint, changed the falloff type to Fresnel and changed the mix map. The reflection of my car didn't change.

I also read that Dim Distance might help me out but there is no Dim Distance option in VrayCarPaint.

Please help me out if you are able, it'd be totally awesome. this is Amrit. I've been modelling cars from 3 years. But only the exterior shells.
I'm trying my hand at interiors too.

I'm having a problem modelling Gearshift boot. As it is a cloth (leather). I don't know if I should model it normally or are there any specific techniques for modelling cloth..

I want to model it exactly like it is with the exact folds & stitches.

I work in 3DS Max.

Any kind of help would be appreciated. :)

Started modeling a Dutch warship from 1665, the 'De Zeven Provincien'. Currently it is only on the spline cage stage, but I will try to model a bit today.
