Not a particular Modo technique I think. I used de pen tool, every click creates a point, so I created a plane Ngon with the shape of the piece, then with the cut tool I cutted form vertex to vertex in the best way I could, trying to keep quads but not necesarily, ngons aren't bad while in planar shapes (so I created the edges), finally I used thicken, to add volume, added and edge loop to that volume, and then I beveled the edges, I think it's harder to explain than actually doing it. haha. Hope I explained well, anyway, if you have any doubt please don't hesitate to ask.

I also came to Modo from Max, it's a bit hard only at first when you don't know how the Modo workflow is, but once you get used to it, its very comfortable.

Hi Pables, noticed you use Modo, I am trying when time permits to learn this programme and enter some of the smc's. 3dmax being my native programme it is definately very different in modo world, any way I saw your snail puzzle in the latest smc and wondered how you modelled it, what technique?
