I kind of expected this topic to draw a lot more entries. There are some good ones though. Since the pickings are slim, and I need to keep you crazy kids on your toes , I thought I'd enter this one. Really though, I just had the time and haven't done one of these in a while.

I kind of underestimated the amount of detail on my drill, so quite a bit had to be left off. There's no grip on the handle, speed selector, drill bit holder, etc., and I did such a good job quickly modeling the battery release button that I had to make sure it didn't show in the render. I probably could've squeezed the handle in, but by that point I was just ready to get to texturing. On the bright side, it's considerably cleaner than the one on my desk.

Software: 3DS Max
Modeling: 80 Minutes
Texturing: 30 Minutes
Rendering: Brazil - about 40 minutes total
