L3XICON - Sea Creatures - Mermaid
Hey guys and gals.
probably won't have time to finish this one but thought I'd give it a go anyway  here's my wips so far on a mermaid. all crits and comments are welcome! |

Damn that looks great so far. That's the same angle I want for my piece but I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull it off haha

Not to be a bitch, but.
Knowing you and your work and originality, I feel this concept's a bit bland and unoriginal dude. But also, knowing you and your work, I know it+ll be splendidly executed, so I+m hoping you+ll find time to finish this one.

and shucks, feel bad I havn't chosen something bad ass enough for y'all :P I guess its so rare these days I can dust off my wacom and get drawing that I went for the easy option! I hope I can pull it back with some nice detailing! @washka - great suggestion with the blue underlighting. it was in my original sketch and then went warmer. but looking now a day on and I think your right! it'll help with underwater feel. |
