Firstly with the amount of info u have provided us it is practically impossible to tell. U can spend anywhere between 3mins to 1day per frame... posting some images would help.
Secondly why don’t u just render out a bunch of different frames at different times and compare them? |

I've never built a render farm but u connect the laptops up via Ethernet cable and the rest should be explained in the 3d software manual
![]() Alternatively u could outsource the renders to an online render farm, but it may be expensive, a google search of "online render farms" brought up these results. http://www.renderfriend.com/ http://www.rendercore.com/ http://remote-render.com/ Hope that helps. |

Renderfarms:
The biggest differences you will find are in price, software, and methodolgy. Most are going to use FTP, but not all. You also need to figure out if you are going to be using extra plugins. Not all render farms carry everything. Movie: You need to do your due diligience. No one here can tell you how much render time you need. Its a huge question. You need to wittle things down to get that answer. Project manage. Its not likely to be ALL 1.75 hrs of solid cg, so figure out all your shots. Seperate out the shots that need CG from the ones that dont. Then, seperate out the shots that can be faked or can be done in post. Then seperate out from the CG list the shots that will need more than just animation. The ones that need heavy FX like fire/smoke/liquid simulations...and so on and so on. Once you break everything down, then you can begin to test how much render time you will need. |

I don't think there are any free render farms.

I know its daunting, but you should look into doing more of your own research and groundwork. But the renderfarm question is valid:
vswarm is still around, but I have yet to met a serious professional that uses it. The operators have all but abandoned it since 2010, and it seems to be on life support. Renderfarm.fi looks to be only a blender platform. Unless you use blender, that limits you. The industry standards are MAX or maya, ...and everywhere in between (dont wanna be a hater). But ive never worked for a client in the industry that used blender. As for free render farms, theres no such thing as a free lunch. Free render farms typicaly have a large security risk to your work. Then again, if you need it bad enough to run the risk, they could be well worth it. Im on the fence myself on that one. |

Zoro...seriously, if you want the info on vswarm, here is a tip: download it. Implement it and try it out. Draw your own conclusions.
