[Render] HDRR(not HDRI)
Ok...
ok.... This is driving me nuts, every pleace that i ask about this, someone comes and "explains" me how HDRI works. Yeah, i know, its a technique of illuminating scenes using images, its nice, its cool, i love it and know how to use it, thanks for caring. But my question is about HDRR (High Dynamic Range Rendering). Lots of games today are showing this effect, that basically makes lighting more realistic in real time using the scene lights(not HDRI). I dont really know all the technical mumbo-jumbo, but wikipedia shows a little about it:HDRR Well, as we all know, every game implements the shader in a different way, and we can basically try to do the trick in post production, or using some filters. But after some time, it gets boring to do something that u believe, that could be done in "render time". The effect in HL2 is pretty amazing, it has a little bit of optics (changing light depending on "iris size"), it has a little bit of bloom, a little bit of glow. So, there is any HDRR solution? maybe one render that support the "Iris" effect in real time (if the cam points to a very bright place, it gets darker when it looks to a darker place) etc etc. PS: no.. its not HDRI.. |
